Vanity C-Section s
Ive watched this on Sky and they seem prepred to put there unborn children at lots of riks including squashed lungs etc just so they can keep their fannys tight. Are lasees really this repulsive or is it medical reasons? What does 'too posh to push' mean?

Wor lass planned a natural birth but the consultant detected that the baby was breech and fairly large. He strongly recommended a C-section so Sunderland's future captain came out of the sunroof. This time around (due next week) we were given the choice of natural or C-Sect. There are slight risks both ways, following an original C-sect, and the mid-wife admitted that cost is also a factor for them pushing for natural delivery (which is fair enough in my opinion). So we're trying for natural and I hope to be wetting the head in the traditional way in the local boozer quite soon.

Aye, it was a lot quicker and more convenient in that we had our slot in the diary and knew when to expect action. There are downsides like 6 weeks out of action where the mother can't lift anything, internal scarring, infections and all fecking sorts of other nasty things. One horror story from the hospital, the medics gave the anaesthetic but for whtever reason it hadn't worked and the lass felt the surgeon cut her open and pull her flesh apart. Nasty like.
Classic line from one of my mates. His lass was in the final stages of labour and shouting on like a good'un. He said "It can't hurt /that/ much". She went ballistic with him like.

it's wrong... our lass got quite emotional when this was mentioned as an option by a friend of hers.. She gave birth 100% natural, felt every push, yet wants to do it again

its getting to be an increasing request and by sky they reckon it costs about 3 grand and its tax payers money, they should just go natural as always i reckon, (medical reasons excepted of course)

Women are unfairly blamed for the increase in c-sections. Most pregnant women want to avoid c/sections, especially emergency ones in which you are so knocked out you are still unconscious when your baby first feeds on your breast. The fact is the training of doctors now doesn't cover birthing in as much detail so when a birth starts to go a bit difficult they get a surgeon to do a c-section. There will always be a surgeon on duty who can do that, there may well not be enough available experienced staff to handle a difficult vaginal birth.
The whole invasive approach to labour is inherently wrong, in my view.

You should read the research, it is quite fascinating.
Like, why women started giving birth lying down, when it started to be considered something that should be painful, Aristotle's recommendations etc
