Farewell Kevin "Big Kev" James RIP
Kev a big Sunderland fan and ST holder from Whiteleas in South Shields sadly lost his battle against cancer and was cremated today in a red and white coffin adorned with the clubs crest. Kev got a fantastic send off with a church service prior to the crem where his life was remembered. Hundreds turned up to see the big man off with around half the service wearing the clubs colours of strips, jackets, coats and even ties. Even Newcastle were represented by a few of his family friends. Anyone who has travelled with the Shields on a regular basis will know Big Kev and know what a cracking bloke and Sunderland fan he was. Rest In Peace marra you would have been proud today.

Met him once when I went to Arsenal with the Shields Branch a few year ago, big character to match his big size.
