    My dad rushed into my bedroom singing the morning we confirmed Lawrie Mac, not sure I've ever seen him so pleased and excited. How wrong could we be?

    Not this time though. It's a solid appointment and one that will progress us.

    It's not so much the appointment but the squad that worries me, and the fact that we won't get to play West Brom, Fulham and Wigan at home again this season. That's a big seven points dropped.

    I'm happy with O'Neill, and they all get my 100% backing, but I don't think we should be getting carried away with ourselves. There's still a hell of a job to do.
