Yes our defending was poor as were the officials but what an awful spectacle to watch-Stoke don't play football and when officials allow them to push and pull their opposition around as they do that is what we have to watch!!
Jamie Rednapp hit the nail on the head " if they had a Fabregas or a van Persie they would try and play more football!"

Pulis built the team. No decent player in their right mind would want to go there and pay their brand of football.

Robert Huth is Stoke's top scorer this season. Tells you all you need to know.

they had Tuncay, who is a decent footballer, and he was just about forced out.

Did they actually create a chance from open play at all?

We lost and that is the irony of it!! I was looking forward to watching a FOOTBALL match today.
Instead poor officials allowed them to wrestle us out three points.

Some stats for you to mull over:

Shots on target - Stoke 9 Sunderland 7
Shots off target - Stoke 9 Sunderland 4
    Fouls committed - Stoke 7 Sunderland 15
    Yellow Cards - Stoke 1 Sunderland 3
    Corners won - Stoke 12 Sunderland 4
    Possession - Stoke 55% Sunderland 45%
    Goals - Stoke 3 Sunderland 2

You had less chances (both on & off target), committed more than double the amount of fouls we did, had more yellow cards, won less corners and even allowed us more possession (rare that Stoke get more than 49%). The only thing you could of done to make life easier for us would to be take Jones & Collins back with you on the long trip home.
