Changes for stoke and yesterday.

After the disgraceful performance on Sunday we have all been left embarrassed and humiliated. Today will be worse than tomorrow as we all go to Work/College/Uni/School and have to endure the smug insults by the unwashed. I have already had many passing comments/emails/texts from mags, bet im not alone.

First thing is Turner, He was very poor against Villa and had an absolute mare yesterday. He was outmuscled in the air and on the deck, he made Carrol look like Ronaldo. With Titus giving the mags even more to cheer about we will be without him for 3 games, am i right? Plus when he returns lets hope his confidence hasn’t taken a huge hit, as he is a big confidence player and if he has another mare his head will most certainly drop. I thought Bardo was our best player tbh, made 2/3 big tackles, i'm not saying he played well just the best of a bad bunch. Onouha was ball watching for the 2nd goal and then gave away the peno, terrible game.

Gordon has to come back in, Minger looked shakey yesterday and this is our chance to bring our first coice back in. Im not knocking Mingolet as he is a fantastic prospect but is still very young.

Our Midfield was atrocious! No urgency, passion commitment the list goes on. Does Catts miss the next game? if he does Riveros has to play, was he on the bench? i dont remember seeing his name. Our main problem is Creativity, we have none! Elmo is like a headless chicken, ok when he has the ball but dire when not in possetion. As is Welbeck, he runs with his head down and has no awareness of the players around him, take the break away yesterday, he could have squared that to Benty.

Bent and Gyan haven’t played together properly and looked extremely isolated! i am not blaming them for anything tbh, they cant do anything when all we do is lump balls up the park.

To the Stoke game. If we couldn’t handle Carrol in the air we will struggle against Stoke as they are a big side and i wouldn’t bet against KJ scoring a header. One thing i for sure and that is many changes have to be made! For the Stoke game i'd play:

I reckon Bardo has done enough to keep his place but Onouha has had a few bad game and should be given a break. Mensah has to play as he is our best CB and needs game time. I'd like to see Anton come in as he had a good start to the season, but due to Stokes height Bruce may have no choice but to play Turner.

Elmo seems to only play well at home so he has to start, I reckon Riveros needs game time and would like to see bruce give him a chance, as Catts may be suspended (i think?), even if Catts is suspended he has 3 poor games and needs to be dropped! Zenden was class against Man u so i reckon he should most definitely come back in to give us a bit more quality.

Bent and Gyan need playing time together and it cant wait anymore! Brucie the time is now to pair them up.

I am cautiously optimistic for the Stoke game and think if the Lads react well then we will get all 3 points. Lets not panic too much, but one thing is for sure and is that sunday was a huge wakeup call. We are not as strong as we thought and if we lose against Stoke we have Spurs and Chelsea away as our next games which we will get no points from! Fingers crossed for sat, Lets get behind the lads and not forget we were 7 games unbeaten before yesterday and it had to come to an end at some point.

that team is too weak in centre midfield - 1 of the reasons we got mullered yesterday.

I would go with a central 3 of clattermole, riveros & zenden - henderson has to move back out wide and GOT to start bent with gyan.

If brucie sticks with 4-5-1 - leave the 3 above as central, use henderson & richardson as wide players.

Might be tempted to bring ferdinand in at the back for the aerial bombardment we'll get from stoke. Although mensah has to play

Would keep bardsley at left back....although may be better on the other side against etherington
