A natural left-sided midfielder will be top of Bruce’s agenda, even if options are thin on the ground following Charles N’Zogbia’s move to Aston Villa.

But Bruce will not recruit recklessly, believing there are several players who can fill the void on the left, with Seb Larsson doing a convincing job in last night’s 3-1 friendly victory over neighbours Hartlepool United.

Matt Jarvis, I reckon it would take about 7m like but to be honest, he's young and English so if we did get him we could probably sell him for 345m in a few years.

Maybe double it, I wouldn't go as far as to say triple it. I didn't realise Jarvis was from Boro like, might work in our favour if we did actually bid for him.
