A news report says four North Korean players did not show up for their team's opening 2-1 loss to Brazil at the World Cup.
South Korea's Ilgan Sports newspaper reported on its website on Friday that North Korea originally submitted the names of 23 players to world football's governing body FIFA for the Brazil match, but on game day, it submitted a different team list with only 19 names.
The newspaper identified the four missing players as An Chol Hyok, Kim Myong Won, Kim Kyong Il and Pak Sung Hyok. It said they are not among North Korea's key players.
The newspaper did not cite any sources for the report.
Kim Myong Won is the striker that can only be listed as a goalkeeper, IIRC.
Why would they defect to Johannesburg of all places, rather than South Korea or Switzerland (where they had their training camp), though? I suppose they aren't taught proper geography, but ha'way, Switzerland surely must have looked liveable enough?

anywhere was probably better than they are used too

Having worked in Joburg, I'd take me chances in North Korea :P

I'm sure the US entourage will have a few "assistants" at hand that would have been more than willing to help anyone relocate from a country they or their allies are interested in.
