Pele on Messi
Brazil legend Pele, who won the World Cup in 1958, 62 and 70 has dismissed Argentina prodigy Lionel Messi as a potential threat to his legacy as arguable the world's greatest ever player.
"He is a great player. When he'll have scored 1,283 goals and won three World Cups, we'll talk about it again," Pele told French newspaper Le Monde.

Re: Pele on Messi
Looks like Pele can't seem to grasp that football is different now to what it was now, Messi will probably never win the world cup and that is because Argentina are pretty shocking, Pele had a great team behind him for Brazil.
I would still say Pele was the greatest but what he said was wrong.

Re: Pele on Messi
He has a point with the World Cup thing maybe, doesn't he include his youth team goals in that record though?
