What a class band they were, just been browsing on youtube and come across loads of their stuff. Aye burdon was a mag but Alan Price is Sunderland through and through.
Have a listen to them.
A lot of their stuff was cover versions weren't they?
I like a few of their songs but I got a bit bored listening to their Best Of album.
Most British bands at that time started off doing cover versions of black R&B artists it's what kick started the music scene from the plastic pops like Bobby vee etc. It's what's needed to pull music out of the plastic X factor swamp.
