Default 2 targets gone 3 to go

So 2 of our targets went to other clubs, Bellamy and Valdez, leaving us 3 other targets we have been linked with:

    Crouch
    Gyan
    Remy

Do you think this will increase our effort in getting one of these?

I think the crouch and Gyan deals may be linked as Spurs may need to sell Crouch to go for Remy.

Obviously we may have "other irons in the fire."

Mauro Zarate's agent said yesterday that they are in talks with 6 PL clubs, I'd expect us to be one of those.

I am not that worried about signing a striker, it would be nice but we need a pacy winger/fullback more than anything imo

Isnt Nzogbia one of our targets? I reckon Remy is not on our horizon like, nor Crouch

This board is all guess work (with the exception of a couple) Bruce made it public that he would love Ireland but couldn't afford him and Nzogbia was mentioned as a target.

I will be a bit gutted if we haven't at least offered Crouch a deal

Whilst I think signing Crouch would be a major coup for us I worry that after selling Jones we will play better football but if Crouch comes in there is always the tendancy to lump it up if there is a big lad up front. I would still have him tho tbh as hopefully our full backs can play a bit more these days

Wonder why we havn't been linked with Pavuylachenko(sic?),would be better value for money than Crouch and less of a risk in the prem than the others as he's played there,Spurs were asking around 9m according to the press,so if a target man is what we need(although i'd prefer the Zog) why not him?

Valdez was never a target. Bruce denied any interest.

I know what you mean. It was horrible to watch. After seeing SB on the sidelines screaming atthe players to keep it on the deck I guess the players were in a state if panic and wanted a win to settle the nerves.

The difference this time is we have fast wingers and good midfielders so (hopefully) the target man will be in the box and not on the half way line playing a holding role
