Daft things lasses say #3265418
After our lass (no) spots a tiny slug climbing up the outside of the kitchen window:
Her: its probably off looking for its shell. Me: <Baffled> what ya mean? Her: For when it grows up and becomes a snail!!!! Me: Slugs aren't snails you know. Her: Of course they are, they find a shell when they get big enough! Me: FFS  I had to find a website about snails to prove it. Bless her!

I used to race snails...
I thought if I took off their shells it would make them lighter and more streamlined so they could go faster. If anything it made them more sluggish.
