To be fair, Williamson has had a good season and Ranger looks promising. Nowt to laugh about really. Put it this way, I'd far rather have Williamson than I would Ferdinand, PDS and possibly Mensah (on his displays this season).

strange how they are lashing around long term contracts, but have not, to date, offered one to hughton?

Williamson is average. We have seen ourselves how long contracts for mediocre players can be expensive waste of money. If Williamson is still playing centre half for them in five years time, they will be relegated or fighting relegation.
