Hard to believe only 4 years ago they won the FA Cup and 3 years ago Southampton were relegated to League 1.

Yet you'll still get people who say they'd rather see us win a cup regardless of the consequences.

We should go into partnership with them for a season or two, we help them with some of their debts and they play a bunch of our youngsters in League One.

They'll get relegated again IMO. Maybe even the first team to go from the top league into non-league in the Premier League era if Bradford don't go there next season.

Why would any of our young players want to go there?

Would we not just be better off loaning them the players and not asking them for a wage contribution? That way we don't have to help them with their debts (well, we don't need to pay them anything), our players get first team football and they'd be happy to have them since they seem to be struggling to field a side

Maybe but either way we should be trying to get players on loan to them, they are clearly going to be desperate for players and it'd do some of our youngsters the world of good. Not just the first team football but also playing for a financially suffering club where they wouldn't be pampered.
