    Default Malware and ting.

Mate of mine was complaining that his laptop was running really slow so i had a pop down at the weekend to run the malware bytes doctor thingy on it (I'm not an expert at this as you might guess).

850 trojons or worms were found, i clicked on the delete button left it for about an hour and nowt at all was happening, then program not responding.

Do these malware things prevent themselves from being removed somehow?

Is there anything that can be done or is it time to bin it?

Thnaks for any suggestions other than 'format the fucker' as i wouldn't know how to format the fucker or the laptop.

what anti virus has he got installed? They can clash with each other and cause problems during scans etc...

Windows Security is really light - much lighter than AVG.

Run it in safe mode. Press F8 after the BIOS screen.
