reet, well need some advice here if you dont mind, i have been looking at the logitech revue threads etc about internet on your tv, what i want to know is what exactly do you get when you connect a ps3 or wii to your wireless internet? do you get the whole web? can i go on my p2p for example & have the games on my tv? can i get the streaming movie sites on there? i have never played any sort of game on the computer ( except pool sharks) & i am out of touch with consoles, but rather than buy google tv box would a ps3 be as good or a wii? that way the grandbairn can pop the odd game in aswell when shes here but it would be used for the web when she isnt, hope you know what i mean , thanks

you can get on the sites aye, the thing is i dont know if you can install things like java or quicktime or flash on the ps3 - which you'd need to watch the games on
i tried it once but it was such a fuck on i just used my pc in the end
you can buy a keyboard / mouse for the ps3 which probably make it all easier than using the pad
but i still dont know about installing video players

ok m8 thanks for reply, thats what i wanted it for to be honest , like i say im not a gamer at all, just thought it would be handy to have if the grand bairn popped round like & there only £200 at the min & our lasses mother has a argos card , but if it wont play the footie games or stream movies its a waste tbh

It will play the footy from the net on your telly without downloading any add-ons. Go into the browser, connect to www. search for FSS and connect to the vip channel you want. Then adjust to the screen size you want.

vip channel ?? wtf is that ?? so i cant just go in to google, then search for my p2p for example & click on the game like i do on my pc ? ( sorry but i aint a clue about consols at all, never had 1 , & never gamed )

or would it be just as easy to connect my lappy to the tv ?????

you can watch games through your ps3, but using free sites like my myp2p etc is a fuck on as a lot of the streams require additinoal downloads that you cant get on the ps3. If you signed up to flashsportstreams or that other one you could watch them nee bother.

the ps3 is an amazing bit of kit.
i got it for my lad but have been playing around with it.

ive installed mediaserver and not only watch the football on it, i can now stream films from my pc. its brilliant.

just hooked my lappy up & works fine thanks for the info lads, saved 200 brick !
