Re: We are a fucking weird club
Results have not been good. Performances have been without spirit. We have lost any attacking impetuous with the sales of Bent, Jones, Gyan. However, remove the Newcastle result from the equation. We were beaten by one of the best club teams in Europe, we are unbeaten away from home. Everton and Fulham had difficult starts last season and grew in strength as the season progressed.
Perhaps it is only weird because as fans we are blinded by emotion.

Good post.
I'd add into the mix that we are playing the wrong formation at home, where the opposition will either defend and make the game difficult, or we'll give them time to get into the match and grow in confidence.

we are a weird club...
always have been, always will be.
the more it looks like success is just around the corner, the more it is just taken away at the cusp...
it wouldn't be safc without the angst

4-5-1 away from home lends itself to soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the break which we are fairly effective at, we've got a decent away record. At home he needs to break free from the shackles of having the lad on the centre halves toes and be a bit more bold. It has to be 4-4-2 at home with Vaughan in the centre.
