    Default N.Ireland manager

Massive speculation that Nigel Worthingtons days in the post are numbered. Michael O'Neill the Shamrock Rovers manager appears to be the favourite. What would people on here feel about such an appointment.

I would be happy with Michael O'Neill, with Jim Magilton as assistant. They are doing an excellent job at Shamrock Rovers.
Michael has one big plus, and one even bigger minus. The plus is he played for Glentoran, and the minus is he played for NUFC!
Not a lot of experience, but he seems to know what he's talking about.
    Mervyn.

What would you think if Ian Dowie got the job.

I'd think he was the ugliest Ireland manager ever.

Big ground swell for Michael O Neill or Jim Magilton a lot of people also in favour of Martin O Neill although the wages dictate that, that appointment will probably not happen. The name of Steve Lomas has also been mentioned.
