    Default Petrol smell in Boldon

For the last week or two on a night whilst partaking in a tab on the back step I've been able to smell what smells like petrol/diesel in the air...

I know there's Hashimoto and Asda petrol station that could be the cause, anyone else smell it?

It`ll be the ghost of Bank Top garage......or you have a hole in your petrol tank

There's also a strong smell of gas when you turn off the motorway at Bowburn, heading past Tursdale. Been past several times in the last few days and it's very strong.

Petrol tanks under garage and supermarket forecourts are super saturated with dense petrol fumes. When a road tanker draws up and whooshes its load down into the tank all those fumes are vented out into the air so that could be what youre smelling.
