    Not a lot they can do in the local elections as the Sheep keep voting Labour in (because my dad did, and his dad did, and his dad did......yawn).

    so people in the SE & rural areas don't do the same with the Tories?

    And quite a few people vote Tory at local level in the wards that make up the central sunderland constituency.

    The problem is we have a council that knows that no matter how much the screw up, treat us with contempt and line their own pockets the sheep will still vote them into power

    And another thought for you sunshine, 'comrade' Scargill taking the miners out on the basis that the tories were planning to decimate the Mining industry. He was so wrong wasn't he?

    oh, and before you start about Comrade Scargill, the Ridley plan was in place 8 years before Scargill became leader of the NUM. Go and google it.
