Default Keano spunked 80m plus but in a sense was that not well spent???

As stability is an expensive commodity but more than anything just having Keano around the place for 2 & half years was magical with the aurora he brought to the club no amount of money can reproduce that feeling amongst the fans in that 2 year period.

Try telling Drumaville or Ellis Short that.

how much of the 80m is returned purely because of staying in the Premiership?

a promotion which has happened far to many times and was not even celebrated by the club

    plus a relegation fight

though i will concede a home win against nufc was superb and the highlight imo

i think the feeling that was around reaching the 92 cup final, massively outweighed keanes era

Love him or hate him, he improved our squad dramatically and started the process of getting rid of some serious shite. He was also happy to buy players (Connolly, Miller, Wallace, Varga etc) to do a short term job. Pity they were generally on long term contracts.

It's not just about the money what about the effect keano had on the club at the time surely that was priceless because not even the drumaville takeover really got the wheels in motion until keano came on board.....

Having half the country laughing because you bought a dozen knackers from Spurs, and other clubs, doesn't produce the kind of aura that I'd like to see.

Bruce has spent most of his time at the club trying to get rid of them and has worked wonders getting any money at all for some of them.
