World Snooker Championship Thread

[The Situation]

I haven't seen another one created (apologies if I've missed it) so I thought I might as well create a thread for the snooker fans on here watching the World Snooker Championship.

It's at the QF stage now and the current scores are:

Trump 7-1 Dott

Williams 5-3 Allen

Ding V Selby

O'Sullivan V Higgins

Trump is absolutely flying but I haven't seen any of the other match to comment. Williams has been in decent form though.

Ding V Selby and O'Sullivan V Higgins will be two excellent games. I thought O'Sullivan wouldn't be arsed as usual but he's playing some decent stuff and I'd tip him to progress against Higgins. I reckon Selby (who I tipped at the start of the tournament) will progress against Ding in what will be the tie of the tournament so far IMO.

Ronnie wasn't great against Murphy really, he will have to up his game and cut out the silly errors to get past Higgins.
Ding seems to playing into some form so I can see that going to the wire against Selby, he will be a much sterner test that Hendry thats for sure.
I think Mark Williams will see off Mark Allen and I hope teh boy Trump does Dott because I detest the whinging scottish bassa!

Not really bothered about either Higgins or Sullivan.

Trump has really impressed me though, he done really well against Robertson to.

He is only 21 as well, and he does not drive! He gets lift or the train to snooker events according to the BBC!

I totally agree with this. Any sportsman who is earning a fortune then does something like he has should be banned from playing, pure greed.

Been rumours about Higgins for years, these reporters just dont try pot luck and hope for the best

A premier league game a number of years ago he was playing Steve Davis and Higgins was leading 3-0 in a 6 frame match yet the price for the draw was shorter than the price for the Higgins win

And guess what happened next, Davis won the next three

Too right.....should have been banned for life. Barry Hearn could have sent a message out but bottled it.
