Default Counter Attack and Zonal defending.

This is the way MON has decided to go so we are not going to dominate the game possesion wise. And that's fine by me!

Can I just add 442 to counterattacking and zonal defending?

People keep saying MON plays 451, but I can only assume they haven't seen any of the games since he arrived (bar Peterborough).

Build from the back...all successful teams do.

We have not lost by more than one clear goal all season (think only City can match that) and we have tightened up on set pieces by a country mile.

Some of the credit should (reluctantly) go to Bruce for the players he brought in...but it took MON to have the confidence to use them to the best of their collective abilities.

When you dont give lots of goals away, have a mdfield capable of scoring and have good delivery from set pieces yourself then you always have a chance..

A bit more pace, a goal scorer (hopefully in the summer window if not before) and we will be headed into the top eight.

quite a few of our supporters are going to struggle to deal with it though it would seem.

People getting tetchy throughout the 2nd half because of Swansea's possession, but reality was, for all their possession they created very little, rarely looked like getting through our defensive unit and the only save of any note Mignolet made was from the free kick.

Whereas despite us not playing as well when on the ball today, we scored two great goals, had a good flowing move which Sessegnon was unlucky from with the header and Wickham had a superb chance which he should've buried.

I agree with all of this. I think MoN would hope for better ball retention at times and that's why I think he'll go for a target man at some point. However we now have a system and everyone understands it. I just hope the fans can too.

What I loved about the Reidy days was that we had a system and if anyone was injured or suspended we brought someone in to do the same job. Build the system then find the players.

why reluctantly, he did a good job for us and took us as far as he could and now we have MON who's pushing us on. ignoring all his posturing in the press trying to keep pressure of the team he did nowt wrong and we had some very good spells under him.
