Default Would Ferguson fail at Sunderland?

Serious question - not a knee-jerk to that shite yesterday.

Was talking to me da, and he asked this question:
    Quote:
if Ferguson & his current team went to Sunderland, would they still be winning leagues with us?
Well if they didn’t, to my mind it would prove once and for all that the club are indeed jinxed.

Now don't get me wrong, I’m delighted to have O’Neil with us. Love the guy.
But even though its early days, you’d just fear that he may eventually succumb to the Sunderland Syndrome. Something that even the great Sir Alex couldn't cure.

I await your abuse with bated breath.

Not without big financial backing no.
He turned it round at man utd just in time for the sky era and the money machine, soon having a crop of brilliant youngsters made it even better. Theres no dobut hes a superb manager but no one will win the premeirship without big money

So hang on...the question is would this seasons Man Utd squad with Fergie in charge still be top of the league if they were playing for Sunderland instead of Man Utd?

    Hmmm....

Very true. But money aside - I find it amazing that we just never seem to be able to get to that next level. Players, Managers, Chairmen come and go.
But we always utlimately fall short. Even Fergie might give up with us

But these are still Steve Bruce's players MoN is picking. He has only been in the job a matter of months.

I wish so called supporters would fuck off with this utter horseshit. Making up pathetic scenario and claiming we are forever doomed.

    What level is that?
In the last few years weve gone from bottom of the championship to pushing top 8 of the premier. Not bad going that and a few levels jumped i think

That's the question. Is there something fundamentally wrong with us (and North East teams in general), that even with a winning manager & team, would we still contrive to mess it up. See them up for the road for exhibit A.
