Carb cutting diets and exercise
Just started a diet plan yesterday. Trying to cut down on carbs, it's roughly looking like this at the moment:
Breakfast:
Scrambled Eggs
Dinner:
Weight Watchers Tomato Soup or Ham Ommelette
Tea:
Chicken and roast vegetables or tuna and salad with vinegar dressing
Snacks:
Boiled egg or 4 x seafood sticks and 2 cups of green tea
2 litres of water per day as well.
It's going to be along those lines each day, going to vary it slightly as I go on. Exercise is usually 3 games of squash per week and one game of five a side, but this was what I usually do anyway before I started the eating plan.
Now usually my body is put through 20 odd pints a weekend with several jaegerbombs and 2 takeaways in there somewhere. During the week I usually snacked on crisps and choclate alongside unhealthy meals such as fish and chips, mince and dumplings, but now all of that is going to stop for a while. How is my body going to react to this type of diet coupled with the exercise, will I lose weight quickly? And my friend said due to the cut down on carbs I will feel pretty tired and week, anyone experienced this?
I'm trying to lose stone or 2 for my jollies in 6 weeks so wish me luck

Weight will fly off you mate but you are going to feel goosed. Carbs are your energy source and I admire the people who do these things as I could never have a carb free diet.
Can you not just calorie cut? Bit unrealistic if you ask me if your only aim is to lose weight, you could probablys lose a stone and a bit just by eating sensibly in 6 weeks.

Quite possible that you lose a stone in your first week depending on previous diet and just how low carb you go. Obviously it's not over a stone of fat, but if it happens don't shit yourself

My mate gave me his diet plan, he was taking the egg yolks out of any egg based meals and had vegetable soup where it was just basically stock and vegetables, watery as fuck he said. I've tried the calorie one before but I just tempt myself too much, I could potentially eat something I enjoy but on a smaller scale but then once I've had some I'd want more and just think fuck it. So I've just gone all strict, think I'll be more disciplined this way.

I've been on the shitter 3 times already today mind.
If I reach my goal weight as well, some people have mentioned that I may just pile most of it back on. Can this be prevented? Like by keeping up the exercise and slowly introducing carbs back into my diet?

Titus probably knows more but yeah id imagine if you slowly integrate carbs youd be fine.
My diet ends in two weeks and I will slowly be increasing my calorie intake by 200 a week, till im back up to 3000 a day. Not even be noticeable the first couple of weeks though due to my protein shakes

The shitting will slow down mate, eat plenty green veg in order to stop you from being consipated.
When you go back on to carbs slowly introduce them, good rule of thumb is 10g per day.

Re: Carb cutting diets and exercise
Your body is going to start holding more water when you start to take more carbs in again, so weight will increase with that.

One of the worsts diets I've ever seen and most of the weight you lose will be glycogen and water.

How so? I have a much similar diet, with possibly a couple of protein shakes thrown in, and a bit more fruit. Would be interested to find out where I'm going wrong
