    Default Kuyt's Goal

I've just seen Liverpool's first goal on a stream about 1 inch wide.

Forgetting the controversial point of whether or not Turner had actually taken a free kick or was just passing it back for Mignolet, is the goal not offside anyhow?

Looked it to me. I'm sure Torres played it forward.

Pretty sure Kuyt was behind Torres.

Another question though - assuming it was a free kick (which it clearly was not) - was Torres 10 yards away?

So if Torres had played it backwards Kuyt couldn't be offside. If it was played forward then he needs to have two of the opposing team between him and the goal.

    That why so.

    Nope.

It's not about passing it backwards or forwards, it's about whether or not you're in front of the ball. Kuyt wasn't - no offisde.

Ah good shout. I couldn't tell by the tiny picture where Kuyt was when the ball was played to him. He was behind the ball then?

    That isn't the rule.
