    Default The corruption within FIFA?

Instead of blaming Panorama for broadcasting overwhelming evidence in the allegations of institutionalised corruption of FIFA members, might we have been better to have withdrawn our bid, in support of the evidence and the condemnation of the culprits.
Instead we allowed the alleged thieving basdards to ridicule the bid with two votes.

Obviously we didn't realise how deep the corruption actually went.

Why are people assuming that it had to be a fix because we lost. Russia looked the most likely winner from the off. Grounds will be built, football will reach people it has never reached before and aside from all the other good reasons to choose Russia an emerging nation will have a huge influx of cash. England already has the fans, the stadia and a vast amount of money in the game. There were no reasons at all for FIFA to choose us.

Qatar 2022 is a canny big indicator like. Described as high-risk by FIFA, yet wins by a mile.

Apparently if our bid was successful our bid would have created more revenue for FIFA than any other bid.

That'll be legal, above board revenue of course, so probably a lot less than some oligarch's backhand billions.

It would have been massively profitable for FIFA to choose England to host the World Cup. They would have to provide very little in terms of subsidies compared to other countries (Russia).

But then again, the delegates are only bothered about how much money they make from a personal point of view. FIFA should adopt a similar process to how our parliament works. No one individual should be able to serve at the top for more than two terms.

Blatter has been running the show for too long now. He has such a control over the others that he doesn't have to worry about losing his title. What's worse is the corruption runs so deep it'll always be a job for the boys and they'll make sure their own are appointed. It needs some sort of mediation OR the English FA who contribute more than any other deserve more say.
