    Default Elgin v Peterhead

Done it last night, Scottish ground 24 on quest for the 42.

7 goals and a nice scotch pie, was good value for £10 (pie was £1.20).

Next is Cowdenbeath and Abroath next week. Might have to think about getting Rangers done soon!

Have drove past it, looks a cold one! Nearest ground to the sea apparently.

Thought Elgin would be Baltic this time of year, but the temperatures in the Highlands are quite high for the time of year.

Used to spend the odd week or so in the Highlands with family each summer when I was young.
We'd always go see a pre-season or early league game of Caley Thistle or Ross County when they were yo-yo'ing around in the lower Scottish leagues.

Great memories there, bet you could do a decent little tour while your up there now, is there a team in each division currently? Caley prem, ross 1st, peter & elgin 2nd or 3rd?

Sometimes good to see things from the other side, but it's a free world pal

It's a lovely part of the country. The weather makes planning trips very hit or miss but the towns are picturesque and a nice watering hole is never too far away. Surprising how good the rail network is, providing you research the schedules.

Fantastic effort mate. If you can pop into the Tutties Neuk which is right across the road from Gayfield for a pint first. Cracking little old boozer!! Very mild just now (9 degrees C last night!!!!) and should be a great game as its a top of the table clash!!

Gayfield always had one of the best playing surfaces in the country and played there many times.

You will have a good time and enjoy. Like I say fantastic football effort. ⚽👌

I only do the midweek games, take in a game when I have a meeting in Scotland. Once I get nearer the 42 I'll need to travel up on weekends, as I want to complete them by 2013. With the weather cancelling matchs creates plenty of mid-week games.
Next week Tuesday could be Cowdenbeath. Wednesday Abroath v Forfar. My Scottish team is United, which has helped me do the SPL grounds, I followed Forfar in div2 just to try and make it interesting. Bit of a local derby next week.

Abroath could be my 100th ground, but I'd need to check!

I used to go occasionally when I lived up there, loved the pies at Borough Briggs.
