    Default whats the matter...

    with Paulo Da Silva

looked great at the world cup
didn't look bad when he played for us last year
has had his 'year to settle in'

is it just the fact that Bruce thinks he is too lightweight or not strong enough for the Premier League?

Could he do a better job than Mensah with a strapped shoulder? a better job than Onohua who has been at right back all year? a better job than anton?

    discuss...

Desfartes/aslim tasam/maakmaak says he shite so he can't play. End of story.

We must bow down to his superior knowledge of football.

He's shite, Bruce has already conceded this imo. if he had faith in him he'd have come on for mensah on sat. No player takes this long to settle, hes gash along with Angelari and maybe Riveros.

Seems to lack pace for me, but then its hard to tell as we dont get much of a look at him.

This how can you judge a player until we have seen enough of him(of course this is sunderland and unless they play god football on their first game they are regarded as shite) He was class at the WC

For me he can't win, if he does get a game and it's brief then he'll still get negative comments. Ideally he needs a good run of games rather than here and there. But when others are fit he won't get a chance.

Sad really as I thought he had a brilliant World Cup.

think the reason he didn't come on on saturday was Bruce had a look at things and decided we needed more of an outlet down the right and Elmo could have been an asset. We needed a goal to win the game at this point iirc, yes it backfired but it was a more positive substitution than we have been used to in recent times

never seen angeleri yet, he could be canny...

Riveros? haven't seen much either, having said that I still wouldn't say he's 'maybe gash' based on what i've seen

Lacks pace but has a good football brain, is good enough to play the likes of Wolves. Bizarre.

Spot on, to have any other opinion is bordering on mental.
