    Default Ford focus parking assist

Looks trippy as ferk, how long before cars are driving themselves.

Technology like this takes the skill out of driving I reckon.

I'm not sure I could ever trust it like. Would be scared it would plough into the cars either side.

I really want that motorway cruising tech. The one where you pick what speed you'd like to go, but if there's someone in front of you, the car slows down itself.

    Long Trip = No problem

Aye that does seem canny. My car's got cruise control which I only really use for average speed checks but even then I'm always having to turn it on and off as people are up and down in speed.

So what? Surely the ultimate goal is to make things as easy for ourselves as possible not as hard as possible.

On long trips, I barely use my feet - Cruise Control has a "resume" function - so I use that whenever I'm slowed down.

It is magic for average speed zones though, coupled with sat nav to get your true speed to the 50mph limit.

Does it bang on the anchors when there the traffic inexplicably goes from 70 to stopped on the motorway? I'm not sure I could trust it to do that yet. It would take years of non-dead early adopters before I could use it.
