It has been on the radio lately and it is saying that 40% of blokes are now shite at DIY, such as changing plugs, light blubs, painting, putting up shelves, etc.
My dad was a Joiner by trade and taught me loads in all matters of wood and also DIY. I am now passing on these skills to my daughters, how to hold a saw, pass a chisel, hammer a nail, use a screw drill, etc.
But it seems that passing down vitial DIY skills to children by parents is now on the wane as studies have shown? I wonder why?
Are you good at DIY and if you have kids do you pass down the knowledge and tricks of the trade to your bairns?
