Default More and more blokes are becoming shit at DIY.

It has been on the radio lately and it is saying that 40% of blokes are now shite at DIY, such as changing plugs, light blubs, painting, putting up shelves, etc.
My dad was a Joiner by trade and taught me loads in all matters of wood and also DIY. I am now passing on these skills to my daughters, how to hold a saw, pass a chisel, hammer a nail, use a screw drill, etc.

But it seems that passing down vitial DIY skills to children by parents is now on the wane as studies have shown? I wonder why?

Are you good at DIY and if you have kids do you pass down the knowledge and tricks of the trade to your bairns?

'Becoming' shit at DIY. Nice that. Implies that men are born good at it, then regress. Definitely not true, if my four year old is anything to go by, despite his willingness to attempt any household tasks involving power tools...

Exactly. You only get good/better at DIY at a certain point in your life. Up until that point, unless you have a trade, you're crap at it. IMO
