Default The Daryl Murphy story - A modern day fairytale

Boldly plucked from the obscurity League of Ireland he managed to turn around his career and became a key player in our promotion in 2006-07.
He scored in a game againt Juventus and scored the goal of the 2007-08 and finally earned the right to wear the shirt of his nation.
Unfortunately a combination of bad luck and poor management meant that his first team opporunities became limited in recent seasons, yet Daryl kept his dignity and never shirked from the challange of attempting to reclaim his place in the first 11.
Now he gets the chance to win trophies and compete at the highest level in Europe.
Good luck Daryl, when you come to write your autobiography you will have some story to tell!!

"I am really pleased," said Murphy. "The club has been brilliant for me ever since I came back from Luton. I had three fantastic years there and it's been a long time coming this move away from Sunderland and I'm sure they will be glad of it.

your right there you useless cnut
