    Match Facts

    Head-to-head

    • West Ham have won their last five Premier League home games against Sunderland.

    • But the Black Cats did win at Upton Park in a Championship fixture in April 2005.

    • West Ham and Sunderland have both been awarded nine penalties this season, a joint-high along with Chelsea.

    West Ham

    • West Ham's tally of 28 points from 33 matches is the club's lowest at this stage of a Premier League season. They have four points fewer now than when they were relegated in 2002-03.

    • They have conceded 17 goals in their last seven matches.

    • The Hammers have not won a Premier League match in seven attempts since they beat Hull 3-0 on 20 February.

    • They have lost their last three home matches to Bolton, Wolves and Stoke.

    Sunderland

    • Sunderland have won only nine of their 37 Premier League games in April.

    • The Black Cats are without an away win in their last 15 matches.

    • They have conceded 499 goals in the Premier League.

    • Sunderland have scored 11 times in the opening 15 minutes of matches this season, more than any other side.

    • Steve Bruce's side have been shown six red cards, the highest total in the league.

"They have lost their last three home matches to Bolton, Wolves and Stoke."

We should go for a win today but a draw will be fine. A SAFC win will send West Ham in the Championship - if they can't stop their bad patch against Sunderland, then it's all over for them.

Hutton fit Turner a doubt so Ferdinand may move into centre.
