Steven Davies has announced he is gay – becoming the first professional cricketer to publicly out himself.

Wonder is this is why he was dropped?

Fair play to him. I think it's a shame that only Justin Fashanu that I know of has ever done it in football. Max Clifford has said that it would ruin a player's career but if he's banging in 25 goals a season I can't see how it would.
