If we had brought in the players we did.....
during this transfer window yesterday, instead of two months ago, things would have been awfully different on here, now.
People are saying that Pulis and Warnock have spent on the last day of the window: why couldn't we?
Let's just say, for example, on the last day of the window, instead of the first couple, we had brought in Seb, Vaughan, Brown, O'Shea, Gardner and Wickham as well as Bendtner, this board would be absolutely creaming itself.
As it happens, Bruce did all of his major signing early, in the hope that, by the time the season started, they would have already began to gel.
We have a far stronger squad this season than we finished with last season and I can see Bendtner getting a dozen or so for us if he is deployed as an out and out striker: something that he has never really been at Arsenal.
We got rid of Anton and Steed, two players who have not really done anything of note during the last couple of seasons and have brought in better players. I know that some of you love Steed - I did too when he first arrived - but he really hasn't contributed an awful lot to the team for a couple of years. His ability to hold up the ball and go on the occasional mazy run has been confounded by his lack of a telling final ball or a shot on target, all too often.
It's upwards and onwards for me. Bruce has amassed the best squad that I have seen in my lifetime (I'm a year younger than Blep) and I can't wait to see us kick on.

we still haven't got a left winger or proper left back

Re: If we had brought in the players we did.....
Im happy with defenders and forwards weve signed, just think we lack something in the middle. We have bought Larsson based on set pieces, not for what he does in play and so far his set plays have been poor unfortunately. Gardner was bought because he scored 10 goals but its the first time he has ever got near it and yet again whats he like on the ball etc, vaughan seems very similar to colback but both do a lot of the unnoticed stuff. We still lack a left winger as well.
I dont think theyre bad signings just that theres nothing that stands out or match winners. That extra little bit of flair we seem to lack. But its early days and they all have their chance, anyone who writes them off now is unfair.

Who would you have brought in on the left wing? Let's leave N'Zogbia out of this, because we didn't want to pay his wage ransom.
Who else is there?
Gradel? I might have had a punt on him and I'm a little disappointed that we haven't... other than that, I'm struggling to think of anyone who is an out and out left winger who could do a good job here.
As for left back: I'm going to be a little controversial here and say that Richardson is our best left back since Gray. Oh, I know that because he's playing 'out of position' he's going to get slaughtered every time he does something wrong but that's not because he's a bad left back: that's because he's 'playing out of position' so if a right winger beats him he must be sh*t.
I've seen Brown make as many mistakes during the first three games of the season as Rico but I haven't seen anything like the same vitriol for Brown when he gets beaten.

I don't have a network of scouts at my disposal.
And Richardson is shit.

We haven't got the scouting networks that Bruce has.

Bruce's network of scouts brought in Angeleri and Riveros. Maybe he's being a little more cautious this time around.

Re: If we had brought in the players we did.....
If we hadn't lost to the fucking mags and gone out of the league cup at the first time of asking with the players that we bought available, then maybe people would be looking at things differently.
