I've never read them but I believe the three are a trilogy centred around the same character.

Yes definitely read them they are absolutely 100000000000% fucking fantastic and the movies of them are great too. I read all of them in a week and a bit completely gripping, tense, amazing!

I really can't recommend them enough, they are my favourite books.

And yes the same characters run through all of them, and they are linked stories so you need to read them one after the other. The last two are basically one massive story split in two.

Brilliant books, not always easy reading but absolutely gripping.

Apparently there are more manuscripts but the family estate and his partner are arguing over rights and money.

    Tremendous trilogy as they stand.

the first is very good, second decent, and third better than the second but not as good as the first.

    Well worth a read.

There is a half finished fourth by all accounts, on the laptop of his long time bird, but his family( estranged) inherited all his dosh and royalties.
They are offering his lass a settlement in return for the "manuscript"

Causing quite a stink in Sweden as she has no rights due to them never marrying.
And according to reports he never married because he would have to divulge his address, and he didn't want to do this as he had received numerous death threats over the years from various far right groups.

Me Dad's got the second two in English which he was going to give me. But I want to read the first one so will buy that first. He reckons they are brilliant and me old man wouldn't be a big reader but he couldn't put them down.

What a coincidence, I just bought the first two today, then this appears.

    SPOOKY!

3 for 2 in Waterstones, I was gonna buy all three but decided to get a "a short history of nearly everything" to break then up a bit instead.
