Anyone notice the pro-Tory bias on ITN?
Very strange. Absolutely tore Brown apart last night, and did all the snidey tricks beloved of Fox et al. For example, the backdrop used a candid picture of Brown looking disheveled, mouth open, half blinking etc. alongside a posed picture of Cameron looking statesman-like.
Whatever your political leanings, I think it's sad to see British broadcast media heading in the manipulative direction of the US.

Agreed. Are ITV and the other independent channels governed by any fairness and impartiality rules or guidelines or are such stipulations not legal?
I don't watch ITN but I did think to myself last night that Newsnight seemed to be taking a pro Tory slant too (I know the BBC are meant to be impartial).

TBH Brown didn't need any help to look like a twat yesterday. He was interview on the BBC news about stuff he'd said at PMQ and cam out of it most unfavourably, then obviously ran away from that lad asking him about schools...

Reminds me of all the anti-conservative press/tv coverage in the run up to 1997

I'm not sure most of it is outright bias, it's just fucking appalling coverage. Laura Kuenssberg on News 24 has just been going on and fucking on about Michael Caine's political views and how the Tories will be delighted to have (repeated 20 times) "such a famous face... an Oscar winner, though don't hold me to that" on the podium with him.

ITN is 20% owned by the Daily Mail. Its news coverage also seems to be pitched at slack-jawed idiots.

If you think regularly placing stories about sport and celebrities at the top end of the order constitutes serious news broadcasting, that's fine, enjoy.
Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

I agree, ITN will be hoping for a Conservative victory as they have already made their intentions to strip down the BBC clear.

Agreed - it's fucking moronic. That feature on Navratilova's cancer was absurd - "Navratilova is a winner, she's a fighter... as she showed on I'm a Celebrity".
It never used to be like that, did it?
