It's been years since I watched it all the way through. At the Liverpool game I went into the club shop and bought the DVD (last time I watched it was on VHS). Gave me a fantastic feeling. Loads of things stood out to me -
Bob Stokoe - pre match interview. Calm as a breeze, confident as well. What was with the git big glod watch?
The fans - fantastic throughout, you really struggle to hear anything from teh Leeds lot. Forgot about us singing "you'll never walk alone". Also, just before half time loads of the lads seemed to be joining scarves together into one git long one ... When the goal went in the scenes were incredible, forgot how mad taht was. Sends a shiver down my spine even now.
Weather - for me this makes Monty's save(s) even more unbelievable. The ball was slippy as hell and must have soaked up a load of watter ... couple of times it was 'bounced' but didn't. onderfoot was a nightmare as well. My god he did well.
Players - Ritchie Pitt was Fellaini like

, But him and Watson were immense. Dick Malone was constantly being touted as our weak link but was faultless. Bobby Kerr put a proper shift in ... tackled everything.
The game - When Bremner went down in the box in the first half tht would probably have been given as a penenr these days ... especially for one of the big 4 against lower opposition. Clarke should have been sent off and done for assault when he went in with the elbow on Monty for their disallowed goal. Billy Hughes - looked like (Reaney?) had dislocated Hughes's hip, Hughes could hardly walk, but eventually 'ran it off'. Never see that these days. Also, when people say that modern players are fitter - I would show them that game. End to end attacking football and only one sub throughout (Yorath for Gray). They were still going strong at the end.
Commentators - made me chuckle. Things like "a Geordie team has never been beaten at Wembley" (well, the Mags sorted that out the following year) and giving the score updates on the Scottish final at the same time - again, forgot that Dalglish scored the first goal. They were really pro Leeds, bigging up the star players - 10 full internationals (who was the one who wasn't? Jones?) also "their fans won't mind going a goal behind at this stage so much ...".
Other things - garters with numbers on the Leeds socks. Green goalie tops. Name going in the Book (No yellow cars). Pass backs to the keeper! Only one sub. Proper band to play the National Anthem ... and they marched all around the pitch at half time ... The sheer joy at the end, lap of honour and the National Anthem again. Oh something else, what was with teh German and Canadian flags above the stadium .. or maybe it was the camera angle, maybe there were loads of flags all the way around, just those two were the most prominent.
Anyway, am sure you've all seen it a million times - just hadn't seen it in yonks and loved every minute.
Sorry if SEB
