Default What would the score have been yesterday..

If this had been our line up:

    Gordon

    Richardson - Bramble - Turner - Onuoha

    Henderson - Cattermole - Muntari

    Welbeck - Sessegnon

    Bent/Gyan

It's scary how backwards we have went over the last year...

That is a top 10 team. Our current team looks absolutely uninspired, bland, 'plodders' being the best way to sum it up.

It's frightening how far backwards we've gone in such a short space of time.

Bruce had a fucking nightmare this summer in the transfer market, no doubt about it.

And yet, he trumpeted getting the players in early and said it was our strongest squad ever. Then when results were shite, first it was "time to gel" and in a few weeks if he's still here it'll be "we're desperately short hopefully I can utilise the transfer window."

    This.
Short can't possibly be thinking of giving Bruce any more money. He might as well make a big pile of tenners and set fire to them.

if we'd added some of those players to last seasons squad and held on to our better players (we could have, really) then fair enough, but he's basically replaced good players with average.

Individually some of them are decent enough players and reasonable signings, but I think it was obvious at the time that none really addressed our problem areas, barring Brown and O'shea (though he seems to have failed to do so anyway). Collectively they looked a great big bag of shite though and it's proven to be right.

    I think

    Westwood

    Bardsley - Brown - Turner - Rico

    Larsson - Vaughan - Cattemole/Colback - Sessgnon

    Bendtner - Ji

    would have beaten them.
