    Default Bruce

Ok fellas, I have observed this board for long enough but this is my first post.

In my view Bruce is a very, very negative manager - not only in his team selections, or formations but also in his discussions with the press and i think this is what is actually impacting on the fans and the players and why he should be relieved of his duties as he obviously has no aspirations other than to finish mid tableish.

For example - Man Utd a couple of weeks ago. 'We do our best but not many teams come away from OT with much' or 'the referee eventually got it right' rather than coming out and slating him for changing his mind. On recent performances - 'do people think we are a champions league club' and 'i am happy to improve on last year'. Yesterday 'Fulham are a well established side' or 'its going to take time to gel' and my favourite, 'its really difficult to win two consecutive games in the premier league'.

What must the players be thinking? Probably along the lines of 'Its piss easy here guys as the gaffer doesnt expect much and if we want to leave we can. The crowd dont even have a go at us if we are piss poor they just have a go at the manager' rather than I have got to put a full shift in week in here cos SB will make me train with the ressies until my contract ends and i will get abuse from the fans.

I Agree apart from where you say he should slate the ref for getting the right decision

Aye this. I've said it before today but our attacking play is so miserable, slow and predictable.

Even Blackburn with a pub manager in charge went to Wigan yesterday, scored 3, battled til the last kick and even had their keeper stick his head in and win a penalty. We offer nowt and harm no one. If we go a goal down we don't win and the best we can hope for is a draw. I can't beat the thought of plodding on like this for the next 2 or 3 years with maybe the odd freak result (Chelsea last year) thrown in.

I just wish we would get rid and put all this nonsense behind us...

only one person can do that, and he has the resources to do it, but won't.

What I don't get is that Ellis is ignoring that with just a little bit of excitement the fans would come back. But it's so slow, and ponderous, and gutless. Real, old-school supporters are getting tired of this dross as well as the skyboys.

    Surely Ellis can see this?

Bruce has actually turned the hostility into apathy.......hardly any fucker cares anymore. If Short doesn't get a grip soon he's going to find his investment goes tits up.

Spot on. Apathy is much more dangerous to Ellis than hostility.
