Church
Anyone go regular?
I'm not a catholic, but my ex-wife is and my eldest daughter is a catholic so have had to go along to church because its her 1st Holy Communion this year, and my youngest daughter to my current girlfreind who is also a catholic is going to be baptised a catholic, so i've also been going along to church to show my face about this too.
Its got to be said it isnt as bad as what i thought, although i'm not religious and only started going for my daughters it give you some serious time away from the stresses and strains of life and work to really relax your mind and think about the stuff that is important to you!
I'm not going to turn religious, but its a great place just to go and think and totally switch off!

Re: Church
Or you could just go to the pub, and not have to deal with all the fairy stories and guilt-laden mumbo-jumbo. Just a thought like.

Re: Church
I have a little hill top overlooking Durham which I'm rather partial to.
Even if one isn't religious it's important to have some spritual time. Meditiation is good for the soul.
Good for you.

i used to have to go weekly as my fathers mam was v religious and he didnt wanna let her down
now shes dead we dont go ( unless its funerals)
i dont mind it and the way ive felt the last month i think if i dont chirp up a bit il probably go
imm not religious but it is a calming place
i chill the fuck out in church, so much so i would often gan to kip during a mass
but when the place is empty n the doors open its a good place to go n have a think about things

Re: Church
I was brought up in a strict Catholic upbringing and went to mass every Sunday and holy days. I don't go now and have not been to a mass in over twenty years but still I believe in God and my church is within me.
But it is a good place to switch off, reflect on life and help attain a bit peace inside.
