Your original comparison is a gross exaggeration though. I can think of at least twenty players since Nunez that are/were worse than Elmo.

For one, Stoke would have him, I dare say Pulis may even teach him how to cross and they would have a decent winger.

Any of the three promoted clubs would take him.

Offer him to Wigan or Blackburn, would they refuse?

Say to anyone in the bottom half - do you want a young player with 30 odd PL games for a pittance, do you think they wouldn't take him?

He's quick, he's canny with the ball, and he's young - what's more, he's just about the cheapest player in our whole squad and can, at a push, cover two positions. I realise he isn't Messi. He isn't even Gutierrez. But for God's sake, can't you find something worse than Elmoamady to complain about?
