I posed a question on the "Newcastle this weekend" thread along the lines "how did they do in the parallel fixtures that gleaned us 1 point from our last 7 games". I had no idea what the comparison would show, but anyway here it is. Not a pretty sight.

Mags 1 point so far and can't see anything form the other two games

Sunderland have managed 12 points against the top 7 this season (all 14 games played)

Mags have managed 12 points against the top 7 this season with Manure, Chelsea and Liverpool away to play....(likely to lose at least 2 out of 3 and tbh honest probs all 3)

What does it prove?

Given we have played all the top 7 and are only two points behind them, in real terms we have done better than them so far this season
