It's difficult to know exactly which directions music would have gone in without the Beatles but, now, I'm guessing they'd be hived off as an indiepop band early on and be playing Indietracks festival this summer for a devoted audience of a thousand or so people while releasing singles online and on limited edition 7" coloured vinyl on their own lable, Sordid Barnacle.
