Do you think he knew that he would get the push if we had got beat today? Or, was he planning to walk. Either way, an interesting comment. Good performance today - can't knock it.

Probably just felt he had something to prove and needed a bit of a lift. I'd be amazed if his job has been under any genuine threat this whole time.

Felt he had something to prove? It's about time he did his job. We want results and for the past 4 months it's been nothing short of a disgrace.

I'm chuffed to bits we won today but I still don't think he's the man for the job. At the end of the day, our first goal should have been pulled back for a foul and Bolton missed a hat full of sitters. It was far from convincing, much like many of our wins in the early part of the season.

I bet you think every single defeat we have suffered has been convincing, though...

Makes up for Stoke away or Blackpool at home when we had both go against us.

No I don't. I remember us being all over Villa in the cup and getting beat 4-1.

Can you honestly say you think we've been good this season? I top finish was there for the taking, we're now as always settling with mediocrity.

Its been sad too see the abuse that Bruce has had recently and I'm genuinely pleased for the lad that he has now turned the seaosn around. I'm sure he was feeling the pressure but this will give him and the whole club a massive lift.

Hopefully he will enjoy his pork pie and bottle of beer tonight.

    Full credit to him.

Bruce is well aware of what has been said about the way our season disintegrated this year. Two things seemed to have changed today - less individual and collective defensive mistakes and chances being taken rather than missed. It was almost a return to most of the performances from August to December, a fair achievement given the personnel available to him today.
