Default Fulham away, 2008 - the day of the Johnny Haynes statue unveiling

Anyone else off here there that day? The last game before the 2-1 win over the mags IIRC.

Just been reading up about that day on the Guardian's site, we really gave it to Chinny Hill that day with both barrels. Some were trying to get on the pitch to biff him!

    It's a canny one like.

But Jimmy Hill is surely a bit too old for a good bit biffing nowadays.

I was there and a few of the old timers were giving him what for. Jimmy was smiling and waving. You could see people in the Sunderland end who didn't have a clue what it was all about and once the story went around the whole end was giving him some bollocks.

    The coppers made him move

I nearly lost my voice the chinny bastard

I was in front of him for a few minutes, he was initially sat in that odd little balcony area, top right of the away end. When he was pointed out, I apologised in advance to the old dol he was sat next to, then gave the cheating old twat the volley of abuse he richly deserved. there are few people I hate more, and as I will when Thatcher pegs it, I swear I will go out celebrating the day he bastid croaks
