ended in france at 11.00 on the 11th of the 11th month.. But with the one hour time difference was it actually 10.00 in uk.. anybody know whether the time differential was in place then.

Aye yer right.
And it would have been the 12th in New Zealand. I'm sure the relatives of the ANZAC's who died would prefer the commemoration in the wee hours of the morning.
