Default word (or two) of caution

The new signings are fantastic and exciting there's no denying that. I would however warn one or two on here that we have achieved nothing so far and it's hopefully another step forward in the process. Some are getting dangerously close to displaying the arrogance they used to accuse our friends up the road of having.

Maybe it's 40 years of supporting the lads that has battered down my expectations but not my dreams. Let's just enjoy this and remember that we are Sunderland.

Well said. Enjoy the feeling but Mike Ashley hasn't sung yet.

I don't detect arrogance just yet, but I know what you mean. I will believe it when I see it, although Bruce has done so well to get us to where we are.

This. Just long overdue sense of happiness. More of that please.

Always remember that new signings are for a year and a half and not just for Christmas

In my opinion we should be looking to emulate Spurs, not the traditional 'Big 4'

We've been very prudent financially, and not proclaimed ourselved to be the new Barcelona (unlike the unwashed)

I think it's up to the older ones of us on here to lecture the younguns of how bad it was just a few years ago, to give a sense of proportion.
