iPhone 4 screen smashed

Yeah like a true Apple Ispacker I've dropped nay practically threw the bastard on the floor at work

So it's smashed anyone know how much I'll have to pay to fix it?

If you can still make calls on it, take out insurance and make a few calls for a couple of months.

Then claim the insurance. As long as it's been making calls since you took the insurance out, they will think the accident happened after and pay out

Isn't the excess on iPhones with most insurance policies £100 or there abouts? Probably cheaper to just replace the screen.

iPhone owners - clumsy sods who are too vain to get cases.

My daughter's mate (no pics - and yes, she is stunning) broke her 3GS for the umpteenth time. I replaced the entire touch screen and mid frame assembly for her, and got a hug for my troubles.

As I hand it back to her, I remarked I'd be seeing it again very soon. 'Noooo! I'll never break it again!'

Two days later, her friend wants to see her like-new phone. She skids it across the table and her friend fails to catch it. The phone hits the ground and shatters the screen, and the home button no longer works.

Women, especially iPhone owners, are a mysterious species. I like to think she just wants another hug.

You can do it yourself quite cheaply, but as an iPhone owner you'd best not, you'll only break it further.
