Anyone tried taking out lens cast on your digi lenses?
Get a bit of white perspex and put it right in front of the lens.
Take a shot without it and expose correctly. Then quadruple the exposure time with the plastic in front of the lens. If you are fussy do the same for all different f numbers, or the ones you use most.
You should get a mid grey image. Give it more or less time if you don't.
You also may see colour casts and vignetting created by the lens. It may be that your sensor compensates for them, it'll depend which lens you are using. All will have slightly different characteristics
If you find it is really bad there is a very neat and easy feature on capture one for taking it out of your photos
Classic lens colour cast shows magenta on right, green on left
Hereby ends the lesson
