    Default The Young Ones

Watched the final episode the other night where they go over the cliff and enjoyed it. Some great bits and pieces looking back.
I'd forgotten all about the split second freeze frame of some random image that they used to chuck in every episode.

was brought up on a diet of the young ones, was about 10 when it first came out. had older brothers and sisters so watched it all the time. looking back it was ground breaking stuff apart from being hilarious.

It was brilliant at the time, not least because at in a period when music was for the most part very straight-laced and corporate, it was great to have something you could be into that your parents really didn't get.
The whole alternative comedy scene was great for that - my parents pretty much thought Ben Elton should have been shot for insulting Thatcher and the Queen.
Shame what happend to him, mind.

As a child, it was the greatest thing ever.

It does look a bit dated these days mind.
